What Causes Oil Leakage in CNC Machining Centers?

Oil leakage is also relatively common. Repairs are simple when accessories are available. If it is a cylinder, it will be very troublesome, and in severe cases, the machine tool will be scrapped. (1) If the oil is not changed according to the regulations, it will usually lead to oil leakage of the CNC machining center. There are three main problems in oil replacement.
1. For parts that use high-viscosity lubricating oil, if you change the oil to low-viscosity lubricating oil at will, the sealing performance of the corresponding chassis, shaft holes, etc. will be affected to a certain extent, and sometimes the sealing performance of these parts will be greatly reduced.
2. If the oil tank is not cleaned when changing the oil, the dirt in the oil tank may enter the lubrication system, causing blockage of the oil circuit, wear of the oil seal, and leakage.
3. When the oil is changed, the amount of oil added is too large, especially for parts with rotating parts. Due to the agitation of the rotating parts, oil spills are prone to occur.


(2) Improper selection and adjustment of various components in the lubrication system, resulting in oil leakage.
For example, CNC machining and maintenance personnel choose an oil pump with excessive pressure or excessive oil output during maintenance, or when adjusting the system pressure, the pressure adjustment of the relief valve, safety valve, pressure relief valve, etc. is too high. If the flow rate is too large and does not match the oil return system and sealing system, it will cause oil leakage.


In fact, it is not only the above points that cause oil leakage in the CNC machining center. If you encounter similar problems during operation, you must do a good job of inspection and find out the cause in time to avoid unnecessary losses. When the machining center comes back from the purchase, do a comprehensive inspection to see if there are casting defects or parts damage, and if necessary, contact the manufacturer in time. Operators who use CNC machining centers to process workpieces should also pay attention to the following points:
1. During the first trial cutting process of CNC machining, the machining should adopt a single-stage operation mode;
2. When the CNC milling machine starts working automatically, the rapid override and feed override S are in the lowest gear, and then cut into the workpiece to improve efficiency;
3. When using the CNC milling machine processing program, special attention should be paid to the coordinate representation of the CNC system;
4. It is forbidden to touch the tools and chips on the CNC milling machine with your hands. Chips must be cleaned with a brush.
