Common Defects And Causes Of Injection Molded Parts

Oct 11, 2023Leave a message

Mold injection molding is a processing method used in the mass production of complex shaped components. The specific principle refers to: the plastic raw materials melted by heat are pushed into the cavity of the plastic mold by the injection molding machine screw under high pressure, and after cooling and solidification, the plastic formed products are obtained.

Common defects and causes of injection molded parts:

1. There are flash edges 2. There are missing pieces 3. There is top white 4. There are drag marks 5. The deformation is large 6. The level is large 7. The welding is obvious

Cause of occurrence:

1. Excessive fit clearance

2. Poor adhesive flow and suffocation

3. The ejector pin is too small and the ejection is uneven

4. The slope is too small, there are burrs, and the hardness is insufficient:

5. Uneven injection pressure and insufficient product shape strength

6. Processing error

7. Far from the gate, low mold temperature

Adjustment method:

1. Reasonably adjust the clearance and grind the parting surface of the working part

2. Local gluing and exhaust

3. Increase the ejector pin and evenly distribute it

4. Deburring, sloping, nitriding

5. Trim the gate, ensure uniform pressure, and enhance product strength

6. Reprocessing

7. Improve the gate and increase the mold temperature
